Transworkplace

Transgender Workplace Diversity Network

Hello everyone, my name's Megan and I just heard about the site. Like so many here I am recently unemployed and hoping to find a new position as soon as possible, with someone where the fact that I'm transgendered won't be an issue. Despite California having a great many of protections against discrimination, we all know how often they're ignored and how hard that bigotry is to challenge. And while I much prefer to try and hide my status, the employment background check will definitely out me in the final interview stages.

If anyone knows of any employment opportunities in the Los Angeles area, please contact me. While my career has always been in children's media, I'm actually fine working in a different capacity as long as I can be creative at home (something my contract blocked me from doing previously.)

You can find my credentials online at http://www.entertainmentworkers.com/MEGANASHLEYHUNTER while my portfolio can be found at http://www.meganhunter.com

Thank you for your time, take care

Hi Megan. I live in Rancho Palos Verdes. LA is a tough job market. I work for Raytheon and they have a very open diversity policy and are TG friendly. Recommend you look at Raynet and apply. There's nothing in children's media, but maybe other things you can do. Nothing lost in trying. Good luck!
