How to do cool things on Transworkplace

NETWORK: Click on the "Network" tab at the top of the page to view member names and photos. Click on a picture to access the profile. Alternatively, we now have a number of networking groups, which you can view by clicking the "Groups" tab at the top of the page. To add someone as a friend, click "Add as Friend" on the left side of their profile page. (You can send private email via their profile page to those who are your "Friends.") Also, check the easy-to-miss icon at the top left of any screen (scroll all the way to the top) to view friend requests.

READ, DISCUSS, BLOG: Click on the "Forum" tab at the top of the page, where you can read, reply to and create discussions on topics of interest. In the center column of the Home page, you will find member blog posts. Click "View Archives" to see more. If you would like to contribute, go to the "My Page" tab at the top of the page, and click on the "My Blog" link, and write a post. It will show up on the main page with the others.  On the Home page, bottom left, there is a list of breaking stories from my Google Reader Inbox.

FIND EVENTS AND RESOURCES: Click on the "Events" tab at the top of the page for information on upcoming events of interest online and around the nation. You can post notice of an event there. In the center center column of the main page, at the bottom, there are lists of organizations, documents and outside blogs. Email me to suggest others.

WATCH: See "Videos" in the bottom left column of the main page.

What to do if you find offensive material: Click "Report an Issue," which appears as a link at the bottom of every page, to alert me to offensive emails or conduct. Please note that items that are offensive or unrelated to the network topic will be deleted. It is my commitment to make this a safe community for all participants.

To delete your profile: Click on the "My Settings" link in the right hand column of the page. On the "My Settings" page, you'll see a link to remove yourself and all of your content from the social network on the bottom of that page.

To stop getting emails: Click on the "My Settings" link in the right hand column of the page. On the "My Settings" page, you'll see a link on the left called "email."  Click there to change the types of email you receive from this site.

To make my stuff private or for friends only: Click on the "My Settings" link in the right hand column of the page. On the "My Settings" page, you'll see a link called "privacy" on the left.  You can change who gets to see your blogs, photos, videos, events, and site activity.
